2. Generate your encryption key
Resistro is zero-knowledge. We never see your backups in plaintext — which also means
we cannot recover this key for you. Generate it in your browser, store it
somewhere safe (password manager, paper envelope in a safe), then continue.

Copy it into your password manager now. Without this key your backups are permanently unrecoverable.

3. Install the agent on your server
Run this on the machine that has the database you want backed up. The agent runs as a
systemd service and talks outbound-only to cloud.resistro.org.

4. Register a database
Once the agent is running it registers itself automatically — or add a database below
and the agent will pick it up on next heartbeat.

5. See your first successful backup
The agent runs a backup immediately on first start. You'll see it in the "Recent Backups"
table below — this step auto-completes once a backup lands with status success.
